ISS Corporate Solutions (ICS) To Partner with Skytop Strategies for October Engagement Conference

New York, NY; April 30, 2014 – ISS Corporate Solutions, Inc. (ICS), a leading provider of governance  tools and advisory services to help companies improve shareholder value and reduce risk, today announced it will partner with Skytop Strategies for its October 13 conference,  “Emerging Best Practices for Shareholder Engagement and Communication.” The event will feature John Roe, Executive Director and Head of Advisory & Client Services at ICS.

The event will allow for a candid exchange that explores how to strategically enhance the outcomes of engagement with institutional shareholders.

“More companies are proactively engaging with shareholders than ever, but relatively few are achieving the outcomes they are looking for,” said Roe. “Moving beyond quantity of engagement, and instead focusing on quality, to produce effective outcomes from shareholder-company dialogue is something all companies, their executives, and board members, should now be focused on.”

The full day event is being organized with Stephen Brown, formerly of TIAA-CREF, and will convene 80 governance industry veterans for a timely and engaging discussion on incorporating best practices designed to induce mutually beneficial discussions on successful shareholder communications. Joining Roe as a speaker are a variety of subject-matter experts, including Michelle Edkins of BlackRock, Anne Sheehan of the California State Teachers’ Retirement System, Arthur H. Kohn of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, Prudential Financial’s Theresa Molloy, Tracey Rembert of Ceres, and others.

“We’re pleased to partner with Skytop in furtherance of this event, given the importance we place on sustained, meaningful, and regular engagement between our clients and their investors,” said Mark Brockway, Head of ICS. “Dialogue is now a cornerstone of strong governance programs that build shareholder value.”
